NDA & NA Exam Notification 2017 By UPSC

"Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued notification of National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) (I) Examination 2017 for admissions into Army, Navy and Air Force wings. Interested candidates may check the eligibility criteria and apply online till 10-02-2017."

The NDA exam is conducted twice in a year in the month of April (NDA I) and in the month of September (NDA II). The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is the conducting body of the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examinations.

Names of the Wings and Vacancies:-
 The approximate number of vacancies to be filled upon the results of National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) will be as under: 
• National Defence Academy - 335 Vacancies (208 for Army, 55 for Navy and 72 for Air Force) 
• Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 55 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria for NDA and NA (I) Exam 2017:-
Educational Qualification:- 

For Indian Army wing of National Defence Academy: The candidates must have passed, or must be appearing in, class 12th from a recognised board or university.
For Air Force and Navy wings of National Defence Academy: The candidates must have passed, or must be appearing in, class 12th with Physics and Mathematics from a recognised board or university.

Age Limit:- Born not earlier than July 2, 1998 and not later than July 1, 2001
NDA Selection Process: NDA exam is one of the highly competitive examinations in the country. Every year, thousands of students appear for the NDA exam to become a commissioned officer in the Indian Defence Forces. 
The candidate-selection process comprises two phases:-

1.Written Test
2.SSB Interview

Application Fee:- 

• SC/ST Candidates/Sons of JCOs/NCOs: NILL
• All Other Category Candidates: Rs. 100
