Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (As of July 1, 2026)

Technician Grade I Signal: 18 to 33 Years
Technician Grade III: 18 to 30 Years

Age Relaxation: Upper-age relaxations apply as per government norms (3 years for OBC-NCL, 5 years for SC/ST).

2. Educational Qualification

Technician Grade I Signal: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / IT / Instrumentation OR a 3-year Engineering Polytechnic Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in these streams.
Technician Grade III: Matriculation / Class 10 pass plus an ITI certificate from a recognized NCVT/SCVT institution in the relevant trade OR Class 12 pass with Physics and Mathematics (for specific S&T roles).

Selection Process

The selection framework for CEN 02/2026 relies purely on merit through three specific operational phases:

Computer-Based Test (CBT): A single online objective examination. There will be separate CBTs for Level 5 (Grade I) and Level 2 (Grade III) posts due to different educational standards. Negative marking of $1/3$ mark applies for every incorrect answer.
Document Verification (DV): Candidates matching the cut-off criteria based on CBT scores are called for original certificate verification.
Medical Examination: Candidates must fulfil physical and visual standards (such as B1 medical standard for Grade I Signal) to secure the appointment.

Select "Create an Account" to complete primary registration with your active mobile number, email ID, and Aadhaar card details.
Log in using your newly generated credentials and select the specific RRB zone and the pay levels you are eligible to apply for.

Upload cleanly scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph and signature according to the specified dimensions.
