Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)
GRADUATE MANAGEMENT APTITUDE TEST

The Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) is a standardized examination of what you have studied in college and your ability to complete rigorous coursework in a business school. The GMAT score is necessary in order to apply to many business schools in the United States, Europe and many other countries.

Many management schools in India accept applications on the basis of GMAT percentile and shortlist candidates for Group Discussion and Personal Interview for management admission.

Anyone can appear for the GMAT. It is advisable for college students and those who have completed college, as the GMAT score is used for admission into postgraduate management programs in India and graduate courses in the United States, Europe and other areas. The GMAT is held globally.

Pearson VUE administers the test at all major locations in India.

GMAT Exam Dates

There are many possible examination dates for the GMAT. This test is conducted on a national level and individuals can register for the examination dates that are convenient for them, as long as spaces are available. Many students choose to appear for GMAT by the end of the year. If a candidate wishes to take the GMAT from September to December, then registration three months prior to the date of choice is often necessary. At other times, it is generally advisable to register at least 15 days prior to the examination date.

You will find out which times are available at your chosen test centre when you register to take the exam.

Scheduling a GMAT Appointment

The GMAT score is accepted worldwide by many business schools, however, different schools have varying application deadlines throughout the year. Check management school application deadlines in your desired location and schedule the GMAT so that you may receive your score well before applying.

Since the GMAT is administered year-round and on demand, you can take the test any time of the year. However, there may be certain limitations such as the number of GMAT test takers on a particular day, which GMAT considers before allotting a date. Write the GMAT on the next available date near you.
