IIT-JEE -Cut of List

JEE Main 2013 Cut-off

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2013 results were declared on 7th May. Scores of JEE (Main), that was conducted by CBSE, determine admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other deemed universities.

Class XII board marks carry 40 percent weightage and JEE scores carry 60 percent weightage for admissions. The JEE (Main) scores are also an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which you have to take for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad.

About 10.5 lakh students sat for JEE (Main): 9 lakh students opted for the pen-and-paper test while 1.5 lakh students took computer-based test.

JEE Main 2014 Cutoff Marks

The CBSE declared the JEE (Main) 2014 results on 2 May, 2014. The exam was conducted in offline (paper-based) mode on 6 April, 2014 and in online mode on 9, 11, 12 and 19 April, 2014.
Your JEE Main score includes the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE (Main). It specifies if you have qualified to appear in JEE (Advanced). Around 1.5 lakh top candidates were shortlisted on the basis of their JEE Main 2014 result to appear in JEE (Advanced) on 25 May, 2014.

JEE Advanced Cut-Off

The JEE Advanced cutoffs determine candidates qualifying to participate in the admission counselling process. These are declared for each category and the Common Merit List.
2014 Cut-off Marks
Around 1.26 lakh candidates registered for the JEE Advanced 2014 examination with a total of 27,151 candidates qualifying the examination. From the 27,151 candidates qualifying the exam, 19,416 candidates are from the common merit list, 6,000 candidates are on the OBC (NCL) merit list, 4,400 candidates are on the SC merit list and 1,250 candidates are on the ST merit list.

  • OBC (NCL) candidates: 117 marks
  • SC candidates: 74 marks
  • ST candidates: 63 marks
  • PwD candidates: 63 marks
  • Preparatory candidates: 53 marks

You have to come under the top 20 percentile in the Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) for getting admission in the Indian Institutes of Technology.
