Stage 1: Login to Online Portal

For filling-in of choices of academic programs in various Institutes, you have to login to the JoSAA website (http://josaa.nic.in) using the JEE (Main) 2015 Roll Number and password. You do not have to pay any fee for filling-in of choices.
Eligibility
All candidates who have appeared in JEE (Main) 2015 are eligible to register for seat allocation in NIT+ system (except IITs & ISM). All candidates who have declared qualified in JEE (Adv) 2015 are eligible to register for seat allocation in all participating Institutes.

Online Choice Filling For JEE Main

After registering and logging online through JoSAA website (www.josaa.nic.in), you are required to fill your choices of branches and institutes in order of your preference.
You can fill in as many number of choices in the order of your preference from the list of available seats. You can change, re-order or delete earlier choices and add new choices any number of times until you lock your final choices. You must positively lock choices before the scheduled date and time. If you fail to explicitly lock your choices, your last saved choices will be automatically.
You are given a 5-day window to fill-in your choices which includes mock seat allocation on the 4th day.
After filling-in your choices, you have to lock the choices after mock seat allocation. If you do not lock the choices, last saved choices are locked automatically in the last minute of last date of choice filling.

EE Main Online Seat Allotment

If you have been allocated a seat, you can download the Provisional Seat Allocation Letter and an e-challan for remittance of seat acceptance fee. The seat acceptance fee is adjusted against the admission fee by the admitting institute.
Seat Acceptance Fee: Rs. 45,000 for candidates with the category tag GEN, OBC-NCL or Foreign national and Rs. 20,000 for candidates with the category tag SC, ST, GEN-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or ST-PwD.

Freeze, Float & Slide Option

At the time of accepting the seat, you can opt to freeze, slide or float the choice of academic program for subsequent rounds of joint seat allocation.
Freezing: You accept the offered seat and you do not want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation. You will not be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.
Floating: You accept the offered seat, but if admission to an academic program of higher preference in any institute is offered, you will accept it. Else, you will continue with the currently accepted academic program. In this case, you will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.
Sliding: You accept the offered seat, but if admission to an academic program of higher preference is offered within the same Institute, you will accept it. In this case also, you will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.
Sliding and floating options are not available in the last round of seat acceptance.

Provisional Admission: Reporting to Reporting Center (RC)

You have to remit seat acceptance fee using the e-challan and report at a Reporting Center for document verification before the last date. Failure to report in person for seat acceptance is considered rejection of the offer.
Seat will be confirmed by the Reporting Centre after verification of the original documents and ensuring that the candidate meets all the eligibility norms.
There is no option to withdraw from seat allocation or to surrender an allocated seat. If you reject allocated seat, you cannot participate any more in Joint Seat Allocation.

Dual Reporting to Reporting Center

If you are allocated a seat in an NIT or IIIT or Other-GFTI in one round and in an IIT/ISM in a subsequent round (or vice versa), you have to report second time to the reporting center. Reporting centers are different in both cases.

Reporting to the Allotted Institute

At the conclusion of four rounds of joint seat allocation and seat acceptance, you have to report at the admitting institute, complete all the admission formalities of the Institute, get the admission confirmed and begin the academic session.
