The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NITT) is a public engineering institution located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance.
History:
- NITT was established in 1964 as the Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli. It was one of the nine Regional Engineering Colleges established in India during the 1960s. In 2002, the institution was upgraded to a National Institute of Technology.
