UP paper leak case: 20 UP Polytechnic college suspended

UP polytechnic exam paper leak

"Authority suspended about 20 polytechnic officials from college for leaking of maths and physics papers in Mathura."

The action was taken with regard to polytechnic exam paper leaks on May 15 and May 16 this year. On Thursday, May 26, 2016 about 20 officials and members of the polytechnic staff were suspended by the UP government. The suspended lot was also guilty for opening the wrong question paper set on May 25.

Those suspended include four officers of the Technical Education Board for Polytechnics:-


  • Joint director regional office (West) Surendra Prasad
  • Secretary technical education board (Lucknow) Sandeep Kumar Singh
  • Joint secretary technical education board (Lucknow) Ashok Kumar Pandey
  • Deputy Secretary technical education board (Lucknow) Nooruddin Khan.

Apart from these, 13 teachers suspended from which 11 are from Ghaziabad that include Principal Nitesh Kumar Mathur of Rajkiya Polytechnic.

Who took the decision?


  • The decision was taken by principal secretory, technical education, Mukul Singhal
  • A special committee for further findings in the matter will take over now. The committee is headed by special secretory technical education Yaad Ali

Polytechnic examination and paper cancellations 2016


  • May 15, Applied Physics Exam, Paper-1 was cancelled after the question paper was leaked on social media
  • May 16, applied maths-1 was cancelled due to leak of question paper
  • Both the leaks took place in Mathura
  • The exams for cancelled papers physics and maths were to be held on Wednesday and Thursday respectively. However, Maths paper was again cancelled on Thursday.
