"Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) invites online applications for the JEE Main entrance exam for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, and participating State Government Institutions etc. All the interested aspirants may check the eligibility criteria and apply online from 01-12-2016 to 02-01-2017."

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination conducted for admission in various engineering colleges (NITs, IIITs & others). It is one of the most challenging engineering admission tests.

What's New in JEE Main 2017?

1)Aadhaar Card is mandatory to apply for JEE Main 2017.
2)No weightage is given for higher secondary marks in calculating the ranks in JEE Main examination.
3)Candidates must have at least 75% (or 65% in case of SC / ST) in class 12 exam or be in top 20 percentile in order to qualify for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main Exam:-

Education Qualification:- Only those candidates, who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2015 or 2016; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2017, are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) - 2017.

Age Limit:- Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1992 are eligible. However, in the case of SC/ST and PwD candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PwD candidates who are born on or after October 01, 1987 are eligible.

• Online Fee Payment via Debit/Credit Card date: 03-01-2017
• Availability of Admit Card: First Week of March 2017
• JEE Main offline exam (Pen and Paper Based exam): 02-04-2017
• JEE Main online exam (Computer Based exam): 08-04-2017 and 09-04-2017
