"The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in its latest notice stated that all schools affiliated under it will have their Class 10 and 12 board exams in March 2018. The CBSE has scheduled the practical exams for All India Secondary School Examination and All India Senior School Certificate Examination in January 2018."
The notice also emphasized that in order to have high quality and error free evaluation of the answer sheets, the Board has extended the requirement of a large number of experienced teachers orderly and time bound execution of the entire process.
Students, who have been waiting for the update about the exam, can now plan their schedule and heave a sigh of relief as this year the examination is not starting before the usual dates.
Last year, the board exams had started on March 9, for which the date sheet was released on January 9, 2017.
For the 2017 board exams, the Class 12 examinations were held from March 9 to April 29 and Class 10 examinations were held from March 9 to April 10.
Further, around 10,88,891 students applied for Class 12, out of which 6,28,865 were boys and 4,60,026 were girls, while over 16 lakh students appeared for Class 10 board exams.
